Brandon Jones was released by the 49ers Wednesday.
The San Francisco 49ers continued to shuffle their 80 man roster Wednesday with a pair of transactions.
The team released wide receiver Brandon Jones and waived/injured tackle Chris Patrick.
Jones signed a five-year, $16.5 million deal with the team in 2009, but managed only one reception in nine games after breaking his shoulder in training camp last season.
He is an unrestricted free agent and could catch on with a team thin at receiver.
Patrick, meanwhile, was signed off the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad last October and appeared in three games for the 49ers.
