Bengals Add Two, Drop One

Gibril Wilson

Gibril Wilson's injury led Bengals to sign Marvin White.

The Cincinnati Bengals made multiple roster changes Sunday afternoon.

Marvin Wright has signed with the Bengals after being waived by the Detroit Lions Aug. 18. A safety out of Texas Christian University, Wright was drafted by Cincinnati in 2007. The fourth-round pick spent his first two seasons with the Bengals, and played for both Dallas and Detroit last season.

Wright’s contract signing comes two days after Gibril Wilson was injured in Cincinnati’s preseason game against Philadelphia. Wilson injured his knee, tearing both his ACL and MCL, according to a tweet from his agent Alvin Keels. He will have to undergo surgery, which will sideline him for the year.

Chris Rodgers, an undrafted rookie from Ohio University, has found his first NFL home in Cincinnati as a guard/tackle.

Andrew Mitchell was released under the “waived-injured” category. The offensive tackle injured his knee Aug. 15 against Denver. He will revert to R/I if he clears waivers today.
