Vikings LB E.J. Henderson suffered a fractured femur on Sunday night and will require surgery.
The injury occurred when Henderson was accidentally hit low by his teammate Jamarca Sanford.
The gruesome replays on TV showed his leg flop once the bone fractured.
Vikings coach Brad Childress told reporters that Henderson would remain in the hospital overnight.
Without question his season is over.
Rotoworld reports that rookie Jasper Brinkley will take over as starting MLB for the remainder of the season.
