One day after being suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s drug policy, Vikings LB Erin Henderson is denying ever having taken performance-enhancing drugs.

Henderson told Sean Jensen of the Pioneer Press that he believes his positive test result was due to a combination of legal drugs in his system.

“We believe, in my camp, something mixed or something happened in that process that caused me to have a positive reaction,” he said.

The Vikings LB feels he’s being prosecuted unjustly and wants to protect his name.

“I’m being punished for doing something I didn’t do I never wanted anyone to run my name through the dirt. So for something like this to mess it up is mind-boggling and really frustrating… Your name is all you have.”
