Tony Romo will continue as holder for field goal attempts according to Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips.
“Romo’s the best holder right now and we have a new kicker,” Phillips told the Dallas Morning News.
Romo’s experience and talent holding kicks will come in hand this weekend when Shaun Suisham makes his Cowboys debut.
Suisham was cut by the Redskins two weeks ago after a botched chip shot field goal against the Saints, much the same fate that recently cut Nick Folk suffered.
Suisham and the Cowboys travel to Washington where he will attempt to get his revenge on his former team while keeping Dallas in the playoff hunt.
