Ronde Barber’s future with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could depend on whether the team retains coach Raheem Morris next season.
In an interview with Pewter.com, Barber indicated that he may retire if the team releases Morris after Sunday’s season finale.
“I have another year on my contract, which I plan on playing,” Barber said. “Obviously, certain things will determine whether or not I will play that year.”
When asked if there was a realistic chance he will retire after the season Barber said, “Yes, there’s always a chance. There’s been a chance since 2005, really.
“If it’s still the right situation for me, I’ll be here. If not, I won’t.”
