Greg Blache
The Washington Redskins have already interviewed current defensive coordinator Greg Blache for the likely vacant head coaching position next season according to a report on ProFootballTalk.
The report does not state exactly when the interview occurred, but it does satisfy the NFL’s Rooney Rule which states that at least one minority candidate must be interviewed for the job.
By satisfying the Rooney Rule, the Redskins are now able to make a quick change at the head coaching position, just as they did with the Vinny Cerrato resignation and Bruce Allen hiring on Thursday morning.
The hot rumor remains that former Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan will take over for Jim Zorn upon the season’s end.
The Washington Redskins had no comment on the report when asked by Jason Reid of the Washington Post.
