The Washington Redskins are interested in drafting Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford according to a league source.
Mike Shanahan, who will likely be the coach of the Redskins as soon as next Monday, wants to use the team’s first round draft pick to grab Bradford according Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com.
Shanahan’s interest in Bradford will could very well spell the end for Jason Campbell in Washington.
The Auburn alumnus is a restricted free agent in the offseason, but could also wind up back with Washington in a mentor role for Bradford as he gets the feel of playing in the NFL.
Florio also pointed out that concerns about Bradford’s shoulder could be alleviated by Dr. James Andrews who not only was his surgeon, but also works for the Washington Redskins.
