Bill Cowher wants to return to coaching in 2010 and two teams in the NFC South lead the pack of early candidates to land the Super Bowl winning coach.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers are two “potential landing spots” for the ex-Steelers leader.
Cowher and his family reside in the Charlotte, NC area, making the Panthers a good geographic fit. Whether the 6-8 team replaces John Fox at the end of the season remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris is said to be on thin ice in Tampa. Through his first 14 games as head coach, Morris has guided the Bucs to a near league worst 2-12 record.
The Seattle Seahawks are also long shots to acquire his services in 2010.

I think Cowher would fit in well w/ the Panthers b/c they are one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL. Cowher was big on running the ball in Pittsburgh & I believe he could lead them into the playoffs consistently for years to come!
