Washington Redskins Executive Vice President and General Manager of Football Operations, Vinny Cerrato, has resigned from his duties.
Cerrato was hired by the Redskins in 1999, shortly after Dan Snyder became majority owner of the organization. Cerrato had a brief hiatus from the team in 2001 during the Marty Schottenheimer era, but was rehired by Snyder shortly after Schottenheimer was let go.
Footballnewsnow.com suspects that this move will be a popular one throughout Redskins nation. Cerrato was criticized for several of the moves he’s made over the years, as well as moves he did not make, such as acquring young offensive line talent.
