Washington Redskins LT Chris Samuels may have played his last down in the NFL.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Samuels is currently in Los Angeles visiting a specialist regarding his future as a professional football player.

Samuels, who has been sidelined since suffering an injury during a week 5 showdown with the Carolina Panthers, is quietly contemplating retirement according to various reports.

The 1999 Outland Trophy winner while at the University of Alabama was drafted third overall by the Redskins in 2000 where he has played his entire career.

Samuels also suffers from Stenosis, which is a narrowing of the spinal column.
