Richie Incognito
The St. Louis Rams released Richie Incognito Tuesday after getting combative with the coaching staff on Sunday.
“As with all other personnel moves, this is what we felt was in the best interest of the team at this time,” Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said in a statement. “We appreciate Richie’s efforts and we wish him the very best.”
In addition to drawing two personal fouls for head butting Tennessee Titans players on Sunday, Incognito got into it on the sidelines with Spagnuolo, which likely cost him his job.
Drafted in the third round of the 2005 draft, Incognito started nine games on the Rams’ offensive line this season.
