Joey Galloway
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed veteran wide receiver Joey Galloway on Tuesday.
The 15-year veteran replaces Limas Sweed who was placed on the team’s reserve/non-football illness list for unspecified reasons Monday.
Galloway started the season with the New England Patriots, but was cut in October after catching just seven passes for 67 yards.
The Steelers are the fifth team Galloway will serve on in his NFL career, having previous stops with the Seahawks, Cowboys, Buccaneers and Patriots.
He will wear No. 84 in Pittsburgh.
The team also announced the signing of long snapper Jared Retkofsky on Tuesday. He will replace the injured Greg Warren who landed on injured reserve after tearing his ACL, which we reported Monday night.
