Adalius Thomas
Adalius Thomas will not be in the lineup for the New England Patriots on Sunday after mouthing off to the media earlier this week.
Thomas was one of four Patriots set home on Wednesday for being late to a 8 a.m. meeting. Upset with the decision, Thomas blasted coach Bill Belichick in the media later in the week.
The talented linebacker claimed that the snow and traffic conditions caused his tardiness and that he called ahead to let the Patriots know that he was running late.
“That’s not an excuse,” Thomas told reporters, “(but) I could have been in the ditch. They really don’t give a damn, honestly. As long as you ain’t in the meeting, they really don’t give a sh-t.”
WR Randy Moss and LBs Gary Guyton and Derrick Burgess were also tardy that morning and sent home. However, they chose not speak with the media and will be in the lineup Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
There is strong speculation that Thomas will be released at the end of the season according to Jason La Canfora.
