The Carolina Panthers will start Matt Moore at quarterback on Sunday when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Starting QB Jake Delhomme is currently out with a broken finger on his throwing hand according to ESPN.
Perhaps the change would have been inevitable, as Delhomme was having a career-worst year with 18 interceptions through the first 11 games.
The Carolina receiving corps seems enthused about the change.
“I think this is a great opportunity for Matt,” Muhsin Muhammad told ESPN. “Obviously, we won’t do a lot of the things that Jake does well, but we’ll do the things that Matt does well.”
