Green Bay Packers LB Jeremy Thompson was taken the hospital after suffering a neck injury during the team’s practice on Friday afternoon.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that Thompson was conscious throughout the ordeal. He also described the injury as a neck stinger.

The injury occurred toward the end of the practice session.

Thompson is currently being kept in the hospital for testing according to a report by the Associated Press.

Obviously, his status for this weekend’s game is now in doubt. He is primarily used on the Packers special teams unit.
