Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers beat the Detroit Lions handily in the first of three Thanksgiving Day games today.
Rodgers threw for 348 yards and 3TDs and Donald Driver contributed 7 catches for 142 yards and a touchdown. RB Kevin Smith contributed 89 yards in the loss for the Lions.
The Lions began the day on a good note by recovering a Jordy Nelson fumble on the opening kickoff. Calvin Johnson scored shortly thereafter, and it was all downhill from there for the Lions.
The win moves the Packers to 7-4 and keeps them in the midst of the NFC wild card hunt. The Lions, on the other hand, fell to 2-9 and will continue to try build upon a team that went winless in 2008.
