Chad Ochocino
Chad Ochocinco said that he will in fact honor his late teammate Chris Henry on Sunday by wearing his jersey on Sunday during the Bengals game against the San Diego Chargers.
Ochocinco made the announcement during his broadcast on UStream.
The often flamboyant wide receiver said that he knows the “NFL is gonna hate him” for this, but he’s going to do it anyway
“I’m wearing the 15,” Ochocinco said on his show. “I’m wearing the Henry and all… They’re gonna tell me I can’t even touch the field. They’re gonna take my whole check, but this one is worth it.”
Earlier in the day the Bengals told him that he could not wear the Chris Henry jersey during the game. It appears he will not be deterred.
“This Sunday… The rest of the year… All the way to Miami is for him,” he said.
I agree. Its not disrespectful to the memory of chris henry but it is to the rules put in play by the NFL. Rules are rules and if he doesnt mind the fine or whatever repercussions the NFL imposes on him, more power to him. GO CHARGERS!!!!
I have been a long time Bengals fan and Ocho wearing Chris’ jersey in honor of him is FAR from disrepectful it is in fact the COMPLETE OPPOSITE. He is doing it OUT OF RESPECT. Believe me i dont think the NFL or Bengals would care if you do not waatch another game TIM. Your outlook is wrong you didnt know Chris Henry you were not his friend nor teammate. If Carson or Marvin(or someone like them) comes out and says it is disrespectful then it is. I guarantee the Henry family is honored to have Ocho wear it in honor Of Chris.
Its funny you say he always wants to be the center of attention when the cameras were all around him and he barely said three words these guys were close as teammates could be often two of the most fear trio in the nfl this one hit home with him you could tell. But in retrospect i think he should wear it for the coinflip then take it off.

i think it is disrespectful to Chris Henry, i believe bengals shud retire his jersey just as all other past players have been honored in this way. if they let him wear that and stay in the game, that will be the last bengals game i ever watch. ocho always wants to be center of attention
