Chad Ochocinco may not wear Chris Henry’s jersey on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers after all.
The Bengals wide receiver said that it wasn’t the potential fine from the NFL that has him on the fence about wearing the jersey.
In fact, the NFL Players Association told him that they would pay the potential fine from the league should he wear Henry’s No. 15 jersey.
“I don’t want to be a distraction,” Ochocinco said of his reasoning.
He also stated that he’s working with head coach Marvin Lewis on the jersey issue.
Regardless of what Ochocinco decides, the Bengals will have Henry’s jersey with them on the sidelines in San Diego.
i hope he does wear henry’s jersey number in the game. it would be a better tribute than a small sticker on their helmets.
