Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen signed with agent Gary Wichard who will now represent him as he transitions to the NFL.

Mike Florio of PFT wrote that Wichard and the Clausen family have a longstanding relationship, which likely helped in sealing the deal between the two parties.

Clausen will almost certainly be taken in the first round as he on of the top prospects in the draft, despite only playing through his junior season with the Irish.

Playing under Charlie Weis’ pro-style offense in college could pay huge dividends for Clausen come draft day.

He is coming off of a spectacular junior season at Notre Dame where he passed for 3,722 yards, 28 touchdowns and only four interceptions.

The St. Louis Rams, Cleveland Browns and Washington Redskins are all rumored to have interest in him.
