Matt Ryan is expected to start today for the Atlanta Falcons when they take on the New York Jets.

ESPN’s Rachel Nichols first broke the news after Falcons trainers evaluated him at the stadium on Sunday morning.

The Falcons lost their last two games while Ryan was out with a toe injury.

They have been eliminated from playoff contention thanks to a Dallas Cowboys win over the New Orleans Saints on Saturday.

Chris Redman will resume his role as backup quarterback.
