Jake Delhomme will miss his second straight start on Sunday for the Carolina Panthers, giving Matt Moore the reigns once again.
Delhomme missed practice for the third time this week and continues to struggle getting a proper grip on the ball after breaking a finger on his throwing hand a couple weeks ago.
Moore will face a traditionally tough New England Patriots defense this weekend. The good news for him is that the 2009 season has been a “middle of the road” one for the defense that is currently ranked just 14th overall against the pass in the NFL.
Also ruled out for Carolina was DE Tyler Brayton (concussion).
