Jay Feely
New York Jets kicker Jay Feely posted comments on Twitter about the death of Chris Henry that offended more than a handful of people.
“Chris Henry seemed to have turned his life around. But, you can’t live on the brink of destruction without inevitably falling off the ledge,” Feely wrote.
Perhaps after hearing strong feedback he would later clarify his comments in another tweet.
“Maybe I did a poor job of expressing my sympathy while trying to look at the bigger picture of why this happened and how to avoid in future,” read Feely’s second post.

I have no problem at all with what Jay Feely said. Feely should be supported.
Screw all this revisionist history: Chris Henry kept his nose clean only when his NFL career was in danger of ending completely. Until then, he was a complete waste of humanity. Now he goes and dies in the stupidest possible way, which is tragic for only one reason: it leaves his poor kids without a provider.
The dumbass goes out and acts like the selfish idiot he is for years, barely hangs onto his career, has three kids and leaves them screwed because he gets into a domestic incident with their mother? And you want me to MOURN him? Hell with that.
Just because someone dies doesn’t mean we all have to be reverent. Henry didn’t deserve that, and from me, at least, he’s damn well not getting that. You go, Feely.
what a douche. think about his children, his family, his fiance and his team. put aside the negative comments. not every issue requires a mission statement.
