Jaguars vs Dolphins Will Blacked Out in Jacksonville

Sunday’s game between the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars will be blacked out in Jacksonville.

Per the NFL’s rules, because the Jaguars did not sell out all non-premium tickets within 72 hours of the game’s kickoff, the game cannot be carried in the team’s home market.

Vito Stellino of The Florida Times-Union reports that the Jags weren’t even close enough to a sellout to request an extension from the league.

Team officials are still hoping that it will be the biggest crowd of the season.

Unfortunately for local Jags fans, this is a crucial game to be blacked out on as their playoff fate hangs in the balance.

Their final home game of the season is scheduled for next Thursday night against the Indianapolis Colts. That game is also in jeopardy of having a local blackout.
