The Atlanta Falcons announced that club president Rich McKay signed a five-year contract extension on Sunday.

The deal will keep McKay in Atlanta through June 2015. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are fortunate to have someone with Rich’s credentials leading our club,” Falcons Owner and CEO Arthur Blank said in a team press release. “During his time with us, Rich has contributed greatly to the Falcons through his long and deep knowledge and experience. We look forward to working with him for many years to come.”

McKay joined the Falcons in December of 2003 and has been a co-chairman of the NFL’s Competition Committee since 1998.

He also won a Super Bowl during his nine-season tenure as General Manager of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
