Falcons QB Ryan Has Ligament Damage in Toe, MRI Scheduled

Matt RyanFalcons QB Matt Ryan suffered ligament damage in a toe on his right foot early in the first quarter during Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers.

The extent of the injury is not yet know, but the team has put Ryan in a walking boot as a preventative measure.

He is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday morning according to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer.

His status for next week’s game against the Eagles remains uncertain.

“When we get to Wednesday and see where he’s at, we’ll have a little bit better prognosis,” Falcons coach Mike Smith told reporters after the game.

If he is unable to play next week, the Falcons will once again turn to Chris Redman who did a remarkable job filling in for the injured Ryan on Sunday.
