If Mike Holmgren wound up with the Cleveland Browns as their new “football czar”, it would likely mean the end of Eric Mangini’s era with the team. It would also mean some potentially big names could come in to replace him.

Jason La Canfora of NFL.com reports that Holmgren would likely bring in a coach who is familiar with west coast offense.

Holmgren, himself, ran the offense during his time with the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks.

With a big name such as Holmgren on board, the list of high profile candidates to replace Mangini expands greatly.

A preliminary list of Mangini replacements include Jon Gruden, Steve Mariucci, Jim Zorn, Dick Jauron and Marty Mornhinweg according to Rotoworld.

Of course all of that is contingent on whether Holmgren actually accepts the position that was offered to him.

As for Jim Zorn being on the list… The Redskins would need to fire him, too.
