There is concern that Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder suffered a Lisfranc injury which could keep him sidelined until at least the start of training camp next summer.

Crowder, who underwent an MRI on Monday, suffered the injury to his right foot during the team’s 27-20 loss to the Houston Texans in week 16.

While the Dolphins are keeping mum on the exact nature of the injury, he will definitely sit out for the season finale the Pittsburgh Steelers according to Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel.

Miami running back Ronnie Brown underwent surgery for a Lisfranc fracture of his own back in November.

A lot of rehab will be required in the coming months for both men to get ready in time for the 2010 season.
