The Pittsburgh Steelers are holding their own in Baltimore with Dennis Dixon under center.
At the half the Steelers are trailing the Ravens 14-7, but the bigger story is the play of Dixon.
The third string QB, who is making his first NFL start tonight, completed eight of ten pass attempts in the first half—good for 87 yards and one touchdown.
Dixon also managed to get through 30 minutes of football without throwing an interception against a historically stingy Ravens defense.
To plays devil’s advocate, Pittsburgh has kept the game plan very basic for the young QB.
For the Ravens, Joe Flacco is 9-12, with 134 yards and a touchdown.
Willis McGahee also found pay dirt on a two yard scamper in the first quarter.
