Randy Moss
The Carolina Panthers believe that Randy Moss quit on the New England Patriots during Sunday’s game.
“We knew he was going to shut it down,” Panthers corner Chris Gamble told Albert Breer of The Boston Globe. “That’s what we wanted to do him. That’s what we did. … He’d just give up a lot. Slow down, he’s not going deep, not trying to run a route. You can tell, his body language.”
Perhaps Moss was frustrated by the the tight Carolina defense. He often found himself in man coverage with a safety lying in wait.
“You get physical with him, and… he kind of doesn’t run the routes the way they’re supposed to be run,” safety Chris Harris echoed. “If you get a jam on him, he’ll just ease up.”
Moss was one of four players sent home on Wednesday for being late for a 8 a.m. meeting.
Even though Moss was shut down by the Panthers, the Patriots won the game 20-10.
“This is ridiculous. I don’t believe for a minute that Moss “quit.” Frustrated yes but he is professional enough to earn his money. Moss is from the streets and if nothing else, he understands, earn your money.”
..says the man who just started watching football this year…
What do you mean this is riduculous? Randy Moss has a history of quiting when things don’t go his way. He quit on the Raiders.
Now that the Pats are down, he’s quitting on them and Brady. Did you not watch the game. Did you not notice that he acted like he really didn’t want the ball?
Regardless of if the ball is underthrown, YOU’D BETTER ADJUST AND GO AFTER IT! Moss DID quit on a couple plays, he is a petulant baby who has a boatload of talent, but he’s a ME ME ME player, just like T.O.
