DeMarcus Ware
Dallas Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware was carted off the field Sunday with a neck injury.
The injury occurred as Ware was attempting to sack San Diego Chargers QB Phillip Rivers, but missed him and wound up going head first into the hip of Brandyn Dombrowski.
He was down on the field motionless for several minutes and was loaded onto a cart. He did give a thumbs up to the crowd as he exited the field.
The preliminary diagnosis is a sprained neck, but the Cowboys are being very cautious.
He has been taken to a local hospital for further tests.
