Chiefs Bench Matt Cassel, Brodie Coyle Takes Over

Matt Cassel

Matt Cassel was benched by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Brodie Croyle is now in a quarterback for the struggling Chiefs.

Before being benched, Cassel was 10/29 passing for 84 yards and two interceptions.

Since entering the game, Croyle is 1/5 passing for -1 yards… ouch.

In the fourth quarter Denver leads KC 44-13.

Cassel was signed to a six-year $63 million contract in the off-season.
