Chargers LB Shawne Merriman Will Play Against Cowboys

The San Diego Chargers defense will get a big boost on Sunday afternoon as LB Shawne Merriman is active against the Dallas Cowboys.

Merriman had be listed as questionable on the Chargers injury report this week due to a foot injury.

There are plenty of other Chargers who did land on the inactive list, however.

QB Charlie Whitehurst, DB Dante Hughes, RB Michael Bennett, S Eric Weddle, C Nick Hardwick, DE Alfonso Boone, DE Antonio Garay and WR Craig Davis are all out for the Chargers.

Despite the December woes for the Dallas Cowboys, the Chargers find themselves as 3 1/2 point underdogs in the game.
