Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald says that he is fine and an MRI of his right knee revealed no significant damage on Tuesday.
“(Fitzgerald) had an MRI today that revealed a bone contusion and right knee sprain,” the Cardinals said in a statement. “However the knee is stable and there isn’t any more significant damage. He’ll be evaluated as the week progresses.”
Fitzgerald, himself, tweeted that he was “sore but straight” and expects to practice on Wednesday.
The team initially feared the worst after 49ers FS Dashon Goldson landed squarely on Fitzgerald’s leg during a deep pass attempt in the third quarter.
