Cardinals Drop Lions 31-24, Close to Clinching Division

The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Detroit Lions 31-24 on Sunday and can clinch the NFC West title with a a San Francisco 49ers loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kurt Warner was 23 of 37 passing for 233 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Beanie Wells had a monster game in the Cardinals’ backfield with 17 carries, 110 yards and one score.

Anquan Boldin caught six passes for 72 yards and one touchdown.

The Lions benched QB Daunte Culpepper after a sluggish start.

Drew Stanton wasn’t much better, completing 10 of 19 passes for 72 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

The Lions offense was carried by RB Maurice Morris who carried the ball 17 times for 126 yards including a 64-yard touchdown scamper in the third quarter.
