Broncos WR Brandon Marshall wants to get paid in a big way, but doesn’t know if Denver is willing to back up the truck.

Marshall becomes a free agent at the end of the season and is in the home stretch of his rookie contract which paid him $3.7 million over four seasons. At that price he’s a steal and he knows it.

But is Denver willing to sign him to the big money deal he is looking for?

Marshall and his agent, Kennard McGuire, are looking for more money than Larry Fitzgerald—currently the game’s highest paid receiver—according to a report by Mike Klis of The Denver Post.

“I think if they wanted to get something done, it would have been done already,” Marshall told the paper.

That doesn’t mean he’s given up on the team. In fact, he has every intention of playing out his deal to the best of his ability and do what’s best for the Broncos.

“(Our) ultimate goal is to win games and we have three of them left. Hopefully we can get that done. Regarding a contract, I think it’s best if I just play it out,” he said.
