The Chicago Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox suffered a severely sprained left ankle in Monday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings that will likely end his season.

The rookie wide receiver was carted off the field after his legs bent back awkwardly while being tackled on a kickoff return during the third quarter.

The good news for Knox is that his ankle is not fractured according to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune.

Knox gained 527 yards receiving on 45 catches this season with five touchdowns.

Cornerback Charles Tillmam will also miss the finale after fracturing his ribs and being taken off the field on a stretcher Monday night.
